Fox’s chases oat biscuit market

Fox’s Biscuits has launched Choc ‘n’ Oat bars to capitalise on a growing trend it has identified for oat-based biscuits.

The new line combines oats coated with milk chocolate. They come in nine-bar packs, rrp £1.29, and are available in Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, and in Asda from October.

Rachel Moffatt, brands sector director for Fox’s, said: “Fox’s new Choc ‘n’ Oat bars have been developed to bring innovation to the chocolate biscuit bar sector by providing consumers with a new style of biscuity treat.

“With successful brands such as Rocky and Fox’s Classic in the portfolio, Fox’s is an expert in chocolate biscuit bars, and we are confident our new Choc ‘n’ Oat bars will follow their success.” Fox’s said sales of oat-based biscuits were currently up 8.3% year on year.
