Chairman's Reserve Spiced rolled out

20 August, 2010

Emporia Brands has launched a spiced version of its Chairman’s Reserve rum after a test in the on-trade in major cities.

Chairman’s Reserve Spiced is infused with ingredients including cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, coconut, allspice, lemon and orange, plus a kind of bark called richeria grandis.

The 40% abv rum is being listed by online retailer the Drink Shop which is selling it for £18.95, and specialist spirits shop Gerry’s at its outlets in London and Leeds, with a bottle price of £20.65.

It also has wholesale listings with Amathus, Coe Vintners, Furniss-Roe & Nicholls, LWC, Speciality Spirits and Venus.

Emporia chairman James Rackham said: “We have been working for over a year on creating the right blend of spices.

“The natural sweetness and spices of our new recipe work subtly with ginger beer and combine brilliantly with the acidity of cranberry juice to provide two easy-to-make perfect serves.”
