Heidsieck Monopole batch recalled

24 August, 2010

The Food Standards Agency has issued an allergy alert over Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top NV Champagne.

Distributor Percy Fox has recalled four batches because they contain sulphites that are not declared on the label. The batch numbers are: 01757985, 01757965, 01757955 and 01757975.

The FSA said it represented a health risk to people who are sensitive to sulphites.

Notices are being displayed in stockists explaining why the Champagne has been recalled and what action consumers should take if they have bought some.
