Dewar’s range gets a facelift

Bacardi has revamped the packaging for its Dewar’s whisky range.

A two-part front label split by a wave design has been introduced to symbolise the whisky’s well-rounded flavour and create a “window on to the whisky”.

Packaging for Dewar’s White Label and 12 Year Old have been released first, with 15 and 18 Year Old to follow.

Senior global category director Iain Kennedy said: “Dewar’s believes in making full, well-rounded whiskies – and it is this taste which was the inspiration for our packaging design.”?.

Lifting the spirits

I were to sum up alcohol sales over Christmas 2017 in one word, it would be “gin”. At Nielsen, we define the Christmas period as the 12 weeks to December 30 and in that time gin sales were £199.4 million, which means they increased by £55.4 million compared with Christmas 2016.
