Glengoyne tries port cask finish

17 September, 2010

Ian Macleod Distillers has added a limited edition 13 Year Old Port Cask Finish to its Glengoyne single malt whisky range.

It is the first time Glengoyne has bottled a special cask finish for general release and the plan is to launch other such limited editions in rotation as stocks sell out.

Previous Glengoyne cask finishes have been limited to specialist whisky retailers who have bought whole casks for exclusive bottling.

Only 2,817 bottles of the Port Cask Finish are available worldwide and it has a UK rrp of £65. It comes in a branded wooden presentation box with tasting notes and information on Glengoyne’s history and production process
