Drinks firm takes orders by Twitter

17 September, 2010

A home delivery service which allows shoppers to order wine by Twitter and Facebook has launched in York.

BarWines.co.uk also accepts orders by phone and email. Customers are encouraged to place orders during the day for delivery in the evening.

The site claims an “eclectic” range of wines and also features food matching ideas and recipe suggestions.

Empty bottles are collected for recycling when orders are delivered.

The service runs from Monday to Saturday and covers the area enclosed by the York outer ring road.
