Coca-Cola kicks off SPL connection

Coca-Cola GB has signed a deal to become an official partner of football’s Scottish Premier League from the start of the 2010/11 season.

The three-year deal was sealed by SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster (pictured left) and Alan Halliday, regional director Scotland for CCE.

Halliday said: “The SPL provides a fantastic platform for us to really connect with local communities and fans who are passionate about their clubs across the country.”

Doncaster added: “We look forward to developing this partnership over the next three years to promote the SPL.”

There's not going to be a campaign for that for much longer

The campaign name There’s A Beer For That may have got cynics like me trying to think of things there wasn’t a beer for, but broadly speaking it was a force for good.
