Maker's Mark bourbon in Leeds blitz

07 October, 2010

Makerís Mark bourbon is to blitz Leeds with a marketing campaign based on similar activity in London in the spring.

Following the success of the campaign in Shoreditch, Maxxium UK is unveiling advertising, PR, sampling and consumer education in the Yorkshire city.

It said Makerís Mark will ďmonopoliseĒ Leeds this month with ads on 96-sheet posters, bus shelters and phone boxes.

Consumer sampling with the Makerís Mark brand ambassador will take place in a selection of bars across the city, where customers will be able to try Makerís Mark cocktails and a hand-dipping experience in its signature red wax.

A pop-up mini-bar in the form of a vending machine will be positioned in Millennium Square. Inside a bartender will create and serve Makerís Mark cocktails, including Kentucky Champagne and Makerís & Ginger.

The campaign may be rolled out to other key locations across the UK.
