James swaps Top Gear for Pride beer

15 October, 2010

Fuller’s latest advertising campaign for London Pride features new brand ambassador James May.

In May’s first endorsement deal, the Top Gear presenter will take a “wry and witty look” at his love of the ale.

“London Pride is simply a fantastic beer made in Chiswick, just round the corner from where I live,” he said. “I love beer, and brewing is one of our great national traditions. We should be proud of it and support it wholeheartedly.”?May will be fronting activity on the brand’s Facebook site, including an online tour of the 350-year-old brewery, a pub quiz and a tutored beer tasting with Fuller’s head brewer John Keeling.

“As a seasoned beer drinker, James recognises the quality and craftsmanship that goes into the creation of London Pride,” said Fuller’s managing director John Roberts.

“We are confident James will help us bring a British classic to a whole new audience through our campaign, which draws on James’s love of a good pint of Pride.”
