Wines of Chile director honoured

29 October, 2010

Michael Cox, European director of Wines of Chile has been honoured for promoting the country’s wines.

Cox was made a Commander of the Order of Merit of Chile, the highest honour that can be given to non-Chileans.

Meanwhile, a Waitrose buyer was reported in the Telegraph saying sales of Chilean wine have increased by 25% as the world watched the rescue of 33 trapped Chilean miners. Oddbins has also seen a 10% hike, but added that sales may have been influenced by promotions.
