Hastings quits BBPA after 10 years

Mark Hastings has stepped down from his role as director of communications at the British Beer & Pub Association.

He said: “I feel the time is right to move on after more than a decade with the association.

“During my time in the industry I have worked on many interesting and challenging issues and with many fantastic people, whom I would like to thank for their help and support over the years.

“I am looking forward to a break over Christmas and spending some time enjoying being a dad to my kids.”?Hastings said he would “pursue some new public affairs opportunities” in the new year.

Brigid Simmonds, chief executive of the BBPA, said: “I would like to place on record the association’s thanks to Mark for the considerable contribution he has made to enhancing the industry’s profile, positioning and reputation in his role as director of communications.”
