Ukrainian vodka hits UK’s shores

10 December, 2010

New drinks importer Imperial Ideals has launched a Ukrainian vodka.

Holodny Yar vodka comes in three tiers – standard, premium and lux – and the standard and premium versions, priced £12-£14 and £16-£18 respectively, have been released in the UK this month, targeting independent retailers, restaurants and bars.

The brand will be backed by a blogging website, holodnyvodka.co.uk, and is set to sign a deal to run a PR campaign imminently.

“It is Smirnoff prices but it is much smoother,” said Matt Ford, who is handling sales and distribution for Imperial Ideals.

The lux version is to launch next year, priced around £24-£26. ?There are also flavoured vodkas such as chilli and honey in the portfolio.
