New fizz for Hardys

Australian wine brand Hardys has announced the first release of Nottage Hill Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay NV.

The Constellation Wines brand has been made by Hardys winemaker Paul Lapsley, using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from South Eastern Australia.

The company said the sparkler benefited from being bottle fermented, providing the wine with “complexity and character”.

Neil Anderson, European marketing controller Australia and New Zealand portfolio, said: “Equally good as an aperitif wine or with light and fresh dishes such as seafood, the new Nottage Hill Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay is a fantastic fizz for the festive season.”

He said the brand’s profile will be raised through the Christmas trading period thanks to its sponsorship of Come Dine With Me. This will be supported by instore promotions, digital activity and consumer sampling.
