Relentless unleashes sugar-free variant

Coca Cola Enterprises has added a sugar-free style to its Relentless energy drink and has revamped the packaging for the whole range.

Relentless Libertus contains 20 calories per 50cl can and has the same caffeine, taurine and B vitamin levels as Relentless Origin.

The launch coincides with the introduction of sub-brand names and new-look packaging across the entire range. Relentless Juiced Tropical has been renamed Immortus and Juiced Berry is now named Devotion.

The Relentless brand is being backed by a 2011 marketing campaign that includes sponsorship links with music festivals, action sports and motor sports.

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
