Olly Smith launches wine glass

04 February, 2011

Wine writer-broadcaster and Off Licence News contributor Olly Smith is launching his own wine glass.

Olly Smith’s The Glass has been produced by the critic in conjunction with glassware producer Zalto.

The design is a modification of the producer’s Universal model.

The Glass is hand-made by glassblowers and has been designed to store and wash easily and be less breakable, while being easy to use.

Smith and Zalto said that the aim was to produce a glass that was “good enough for the professionals and both elegant and practical for use at home".

Each glass is £22.50 from wine accessory retailer Around Wine or Smith's own website.

Smith recently launched his own wine phone app and is the presenter of a new Channel 4 series called The Secret Supper Club, which starts on Sunday.
