Ayes have it in latest McEwan’s TV ad

McEwan’s ale is launching a Valentine-themed TV push in Scotland that continues the tone the brand established in October – with “aye” being the only spoken word in the ad.

The new ad features a marriage proposal between a couple enjoying the beer in a bar.

Another new 10-second commercial has a football theme and will air around televised matches. The 30-second ad that was launched last year will also be re-screened throughout February.

The ads will appear across STV, Channel 4 and Five in Scotland, and form part of a wider marketing campaign in Scotland by Jygsaw Brands, which is responsible for UK sales and marketing of McEwan’s.

Reasons to be cheerful

I would like to think my outlook on things is generally optimistic. Perhaps that’s a natural consequence of working with something designed to give pleasure. But recently it has become increasingly difficult to ignore a creeping sense of negativity pervading the British wine trade.
