Clink strikes Spanish deal

09 February, 2011

Clink Wines has won the UK and Ireland distribution for family-owned Spanish wine firm Vini Galicia.

The producer makes wine in Ribeira Sacra, Rias Baixas and La Mancha.

Clink managing director Catherine Monahan said: “We have significantly increased our focus on the Spanish category, so its great to have premium wines from the Riberia Sacra and Rias Baixas in the portfolio.”

Monahan said Clink’s La Capilla Spanish brand had achieved sales of over 200,000 cases in two years on the market.

Vini Galicia was previously represented in the UK by PLB.
