Burgundy wines are relaunched

Nisa-Today's has re launched its own-label Burgundy wines.

The four-strong range, which comprises Beaujolais, Chablis, Mâcon Villages Blanc and Mâcon Rouge, is now being sold under the Pont Neuf label, part of the company's Cellars International brand.

Nisa-Today's private-label portfolio includes 16 European and New World wines.

An Italian range called Domani, a German range called Hanns Rittman and a Bulgarian Tirnerva will be introduced soon. Two ranges from California and South Africa will be added later in the year.

Steve Makin, Nisa-Today's category controller for wine, said: "The re launch has so far been a success, with all being well received by our members - packaging looks streamlined and contemporary, and screwcaps have been extended to some of the ranges."

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
