Alizé in magazine sponsorship deal

26 January, 2007

Cognac-based spirit Alizé has struck a sponsorship deal with rap magazine Hip Hop Connection.

In a move to raise the brand profile of Alizé Bleu in the urban music scene, 25,000 Out of the Bleu CDs will run on the front cover of the February issue of Hip Hop Connection.

"The Alizé brand already has very strong links with the US and UK hip-hop scene, and has also been immortalised in songs by P Diddy, Missy Elliot, Jay Z and Snoop Dogg - it's a popular choice among urban trendsetters," a spokeswoman said.

A limited edition Alizé Rosé bottle, covered in Swarovski crystals, has been launched for Valentine's Day. Each bottle takes up to 100 man hours to create.

The limitations of Instawines

Picture the scene. You put your key in the keyhole, shove the door with your shoulder, drop your bags and look down. There, beaming up at you, is some relative or friend’s smug postcard with sandy beaches, Pińa Coladas and palm trees (or, these days, an in nity pool and a detox smoothie) with a literal or metaphorical “wish you were here” written large.
