Chartered Brands has taken over the production and distribution of the White Satin gin brand from Whyte & Mackay.

The spirit is the third label Chartered Brands has taken on from US spirits company Heaven Hill, after premium liqueurs Hpnotiq and Pama. The company will take over the marketing and promotion of the brand from Whyte & Mackay at the start of February and is aiming to double sales of the brand in two years.

Managing director Glen Gribbon said: "Our expertise in the grocery and independent retail sector means that we have a strong route to market. We see the heritage of White Satin as a great foundation to build on."
