International job for Moramarco

Constellation Europe chief executive officer Jo n Moramarco has moved up to a new job as head of Constellation International, based in Fairport, New York.

As chief executive officer of the international division he will continue to oversee UK-based Constellation Europe.

He will also take Australia-based Hardy Wine and Constellation Wines International under his wing, plus Nobilo of New Zealand.

Chief financial officer Troy Christensen will become president of Constellation Europe , with his financial role passing to David Klein, vice president of corporate development at the company's US headquarters in Fairport.

Rob Sands, Constellation Brands president and chief operating officer, said: "Our organisational review is perpetual, with refinements like this one being a natural and evolutionary aspect of conducting business in a global environment."

The changes take effect from March 1.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle ľ which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
