A fizzy foursome from the annual Champagne tasting

Jacquart MosaÔque Extra Brut NV

Supplier: PLB

A newly-released Champagne, with a mere 5g of sugar per litre. I was expecting a shock on the palate, but found an elegant, clean, citrus-infused wine that would be perfect with most savoury foods. RE

Charles Heidsieck Blanc des

Millenaires 1995

Supplier: Maxxium UK

Aged 10 years on the lees, this fine-bubbled, dry fizz has notes of toast and peach on the nose and plenty of tropical fruit on the palate with a decent length. Piper-Heidsieck is making around 50,000 cases available.RE

MoŽt & Chandon Grand Vintage 2000

Supplier: MoŽt Hennessy

MoŽt's newest addition is well-balanced with hints of nut and citrus on the nose, and tropical fruit on the palate courtesy of dominate grape variety Chardonnay. Fdine spritz is a counterpoint to the creamy mouthfeel. MoŽt has also released a strawberry and spice-packed rosť 2000. RE

Lanson Gold Label 1997

Supplier: Lanson International

Tropical fruit and citrus dominate the nose and palate. Well balanced with a clean finish. RE
