Heineken offer for European cup

20 April, 2007

With three British clubs still in the running for the UEFA Champions League title and millions of fans gearing up for the final rounds of the football tournament, Heineken UK is busy promoting its lager in the off-trade.

Drinkers who buy any two multi-packs of Heineken from participating retailers will get a limited edition Champions League-branded pint glass.

Chris Duffy, customer marketing controller, says: " This promotion supports retailers in driving sales of Heineken by offering drinkers the chance to get their hands on limited edition glassware to get them into the football spirit while enjoying the matches at home."

The next round of matches takes place on April 24 and 25. The final is in Athens on May 23.
