Polish rye vodka sets sights on UK

20 April, 2007

Global Brands is launching Polish vodka Sobieski into the UK off-trade.

The brand is Poland's number one premium vodka. It is made from 100 per cent Dankowski rye grown in the Mazowse region and distilled four times before it is bottled at the Sobieski distillery.

Public relations manager Helen Tungland said: "This is an exciting time for Global Brands to introduce Sobieski to the UK vodka market.

"We envisage that the strength in the world spirits with genuine heritage will continue to translate into volume sales."
