Extra £8m edge for Lucozade

Lucozade Energy is rolling out a UK-wide £8.25 million marketing campaign that will break in April.

Designed to re-energise the nations' workers, Get Your Edge Back includes a new website, outdoor, cinema and press ads, and a roadshow that will stop at motorway service stations and workplaces across the UK during April and May.

Consumers will also have the chance to win £10,000 and a starring role in a Lucozade Energy ad by submitting a story on the theme of "losing your edge" at www.getyouredgeback.com.

Brand manager Jenny Hall said: "Get Your Edge Back is a bold campaign, which looks to truly engage with our consumers in an impactful manner as well as reinforcing our brand position."

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
