Moldovian wine producer Cricova has launched a range of red and white sparkling wines in the UK. The four-strong range includes a white brut NV and a rosé semi-sweet NV produced in both the traditional and charmat method. They are priced between £5 and £8. Chardonnay and Sauvignon single varietals and Chardonnay/Sauvignon blend Côté Tariquet will be bottled with screwtops from the 2006 vintage. Five Tariquet wines are now available in the closures, including an Ugni Blanc/Colombard blend and a rosé. The brand has set up a website - - that offers advice, information and a reader forum.

Concha & Toro is launching a limited edition mixed six-pack of Casillero del Diablo wines especially for the cash and carry sector. The box, which contains two bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon, two of Shiraz rosé and two of Sauvignon Blanc, will be price marked at £19.99 wholesale and aims to encourage trial of the Casillero del Diablo range of grape varieties. The colourful branded box has carry handles and it is available in cash and carry depots . Casillero del Diablo retailer POS kits are in production and they will include a letter to retailers, neck collars, shelf wobblers, window stickers and posters.

Liberty Wines is the new agent for Rhône producer Paul Jaboulet Aîné, with effect from June 1. Former agent Dreyfus, Ashby & Co will relinquish the agency on May 31. "Our goal is to develop sales across all sectors of the UK," said commercial director Nicolas Jaboulet. "The U K is a dynamic market and one that we think is well-suited to the new style of wines coming out of Jaboulet. We would like to thank Dreyfus Ashby for all the work they have done for Jaboulet in the UK over the past decade."
