Aspall making grandmother blush

04 May, 2007

Suffolk cidermaker Aspall is rolling out Perronelle's Blush, its cider with blackberry liqueur, after a successful trial in Sainsbury's. It comes in Aspall's signature 50cl bottle and weighs in at 5.4 per cent abv.

The drink is named after Aspall directors Barry and Henry Chevallier Guild's grandmother, who ran the business for 30 years. "Perronelle was the driving force behind the structure of the business as it is today," said Barry.

He added: "Feedback from consumers and trade alike has been exceptional, and we are looking forward to Perronelle's Blush adding to the growth of the brand this summer." Aspall is also supporting the launch with branded glassware.
