Design overhaul
Published:  18 May, 2007

United Biscuits is rolling out new pack designs for Skips, Discos, Nik Naks and Wheat Crunchies.

The revamp aims to modernise the brands and give them increased on-shelf stand-out. All four brands have also had their saturated fat content reduced by 50 per cent.

A BBQ Beef flavour will be added to the Discos range and multipacks of Wheat Crunchies Worcester Sauce and Nik Naks Scampi & Lemon flavour will be launched. Skips will also be available in multipacks of six and 10 (rrp 1.79).

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
