Entries now open for OLN awards

01 June, 2007

Entries are open for this year's Responsible Drinks Retailing Awards - an annual event that highlights best practice in the on and off-trade, supported by OLN and sister publication the Morning Advertiser.

The awards, now in their fourth year, are designed to recognise and reward retailers who do not merely stick to the letter of the law but who actively deter under-age customers and irresponsible drinking.

There are two off-trade categories: one for best independent and one for best chain. Judges will be looking for retailers who take an active and consistent approach to their social and legal responsibilities, and who are committed to sharing best practice.

The winners will be announced at a lunch at the Landmark Hotel on Nov 22 and full coverage will be featured in OLN.

The awards tie in with OLN's Responsible Drinks Retailing scheme, which offers retailers in-store posters, door stickers and training material. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.responsibledrinksretailing.co.uk or contact Jessica Canfor on 01293 867644 or jessica.canfor@william-reed.co.uk.
