William Grant & Sons has launched a 70cl bottle of Grant's Family Reserve in a presentation gift box to drive Father's Day sales. Retailing at 12.29, PR activity will raise awareness of the brand as the perfect gift for Father's Day.

Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands is rolling out a website for its Cazadores 100 per cent blue agave tequila. The brand, which is produced in the Los Altos highlands of Mexico, has also been relaunched with a new-look label.

Russian producer the KiN Group showed its Katyusha vodka at the LIWSF. Consisting of three flavours - grapefruit, blackcurrant and rye grain - the spirit has an abv of 40 per cent. KiN, which also produces a range of Cognacs, brandies, and natural nastoykas, is currently looking for a UK agent.

Croatian premium vodka brand Akvinta, produced by Adriatic Distillers, made its debut at the LIWSF. It is filtered through five natural elements - charcoal, marble, silver, gold and platinum and will be positioned as a luxury ultra premium brand.

Lithuanian Beer is set to distribute premium vodka Gera in the UK. Described as "lighter and milder in taste" than other vodkas on the market, it is triple distilled and available in original, apple, currant, pepper and vanilla flavours.

The Penderyn Distillery is backing the launch of Brecon Special Reserve Gin and Brecon Five Vodka with an advertising campaign that consists of PR activity, in-store promotions, sponsorship deals and press ads.

Martini has set up a Martini Terrazza in Hanover Square. Opening every day until June 10 from noon until 9pm it will be serving up a variety of Martini cocktails. Contact 0208 735 5130.

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
