Banrock Station goes even greener

Banrock Station is giving away a garden makeover worth 10,000 from Ground Force presenter Charlie Dimmock, in its latest on-pack promotion.

The Win a Garden Makeover competition - part of Constellation's 5 million consumer campaign for the Australian brand - will run throughout the summer on Shiraz/Mataro and Colombard/Chardonnay.

Ads with the strapline: Good Earth, Fine Wine, will run in The Mail on Sunday, The Telegraph Magazine and Homes & Gardens Magazine.

Clare Griffiths, VP brands marketing, Constellation Europe, said: "Everything Banrock Station does supports its unique positioning around caring for the environment and this has struck a chord with consumers." The brand is continuing its 18-month link-up with The Eden Project with the release of the new Banrock Station Garden.

It is also working in partnership with the group to build a garden at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

Reasons to be cheerful

I would like to think my outlook on things is generally optimistic. Perhaps that’s a natural consequence of working with something designed to give pleasure. But recently it has become increasingly difficult to ignore a creeping sense of negativity pervading the British wine trade.
