Prize rhubarb beer launched in Tesco

15 June, 2007

Greene King has released a rhubarb-flavoured version of Ruddles ale in Tesco after it won an award in the supermarket's Beer Challenge.

The 4.7 per cent abv beer comes in clear bottles with Ruddles' new horseshoe design, and retails at 1.69 for 50cl.

Take-home and export director Neil Jardine said: "In terms of quality and flavour, Ruddles Rhubarb is unlike anything else you will find in the supermarket and Tesco's seal of approval will help assure people they are getting a great-tasting, truly unique beer.

"Like Ruddles County, it is full of flavour and continues our commitment to offer ale drinkers refreshingly different beers to explore and enjoy."
