Sainsbury's has

introduced a 4 per cent abv sparkling French cider in its Taste the Difference range.

It is made in Brittany from four

and is 100 per cent naturally-fermented juice.

Cider buyer Trish Penn said: "Cider has seen something of a revolution recently and we felt the time was right to launch a premium classic cider. It is great to be able to offer a pure product where time, care and attention have been invested to bring the customer the very best of French cider."

The cider is made by co-operative Les Celliers Associés - Val de Rance.
