Cadbury Trebor Bassett is adding a new flavour to its Trident chewing gum range. Trident Splash Raspberry & Peach will be on retailers' shelves from July 16 and will be backed by a £10 million marketing spend for the brand.

Nestlé Rowntree has increased the amount of real fruit juice in its Fruit Pastilles, Fruit Gums and Jelly Tots by 25 per cent, with revamped packaging reflecting the changes. Fruit Pastilles will also sponsor America's Got Talent on ITV2 as part of a £3.5 million media spend for 2007.

team. The link-up includes sponsorship of the Bikini Beauties competition and a nationwide sampling programme. At English Beach Soccer events "eco-friendly Energy69

can -can girls" will be collecting empty cans for recycling, a spokesman said.

The Red Bull Air Race is winging its way to London on July 28-29. Billed "the F1 of the skies", the event will take place against the backdrop of the 02 Arena and

is backed by a £2.5 million spend that includes TV advertising and in-store POS.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
