Pernod Ricard has been experimenting with less traditional forms of advertising for its key brands, such as film sponsorship for Campo Viejo, travel writing for Montana, and Jacob's Creek's Welcome to Our Place online campaign. Portfolio additions include Gran Campo Viejo Cava Rosé, Montana Brut and Jacob's Creek Three Vines, which will hit retailers' shelves at the end of July, supported by a national marketing campaign. Over the next 12 months Pernod is planning to increase its sparkling wine portfolio with new offerings from Jacob's Creek, Lindauer, Montana, Gran Campo Viejo Cava, Cuvée Napa by Mumm and Deutz. It will also be moving Campo Viejo White and Rosé into screwcap.

Reasons to be cheerful

I would like to think my outlook on things is generally optimistic. Perhaps that’s a natural consequence of working with something designed to give pleasure. But recently it has become increasingly difficult to ignore a creeping sense of negativity pervading the British wine trade.
