Radio push for Foster's lager

20 July, 2007

Scottish & Newcastle is launching two radio ads for Foster's lager.

The ads, called Commentator and Dingo's Den, continue the theme from the recent Never Leave a Man Behind TV execution. They feature the campaign strapline Foster's Super Chilled. Well you wouldn't want a warm beer, would you?

The campaign is part of a 40 million marketing programme for the brand which includes Foster's BBQ activity, the Laidback Legends digital marketing campaign and sponsorship of the Rip Curl boardmasters surfing championships this summer.

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
