Wells & Young's plans Courage relaunch

Courage is being relaunched with a £2 million investment, after Bedford-based Wells & Young's bought the portfolio in January this year.

The ad campaign, to be launched later this year, is the first in more than 10 years for the brand.

When W&Y bought the brand, managing director Nigel McNally said: "The Courage ales are quite iconic in terms of the brewing industry and there is huge awareness nationally - particularly in the south.

"Although S&N admits it has neglected the brands in favour of others, they have performed in line with the market despite the lack of investment. We intend to give the brands some TLC. We feel we can do an amazing job, given our success in terms of NPD."

The brewer has not yet revealed details about the push.
