Pear cider finds consumer match

St Helier pear cider is sponsoring the 2007/8 football season on ITV.

The brand's logo will appear in highlights of all Championship games and play-offs, Carling Cup highlights and a round-up of League 1 and 2 games - and brand owner Intercontinental Brands said more than half the UK population will see the sponsorship at least once.

Joint managing director Paul Burton said: "St Helier has performed well beyond our expectations and we have already achieved our sales targets in the first half of this year. This major sponsorship deal is a testament to our confidence that the brand will continue to perform brilliantly and become a very significant player in the next 12 to 24 months."

Picture the scene. You put your key in the keyhole, shove the door with your shoulder, drop your bags and look down. There, beaming up at you, is some relative or friend’s smug postcard with sandy beaches, Piña Coladas and palm trees (or, these days, an in nity pool and a detox smoothie) with a literal or metaphorical “wish you were here” written large.
