Peroni hopes Ferrari promotion will help drive sales

Peroni Nastro Azzuro has teamed up with Ferrari for its latest promotion.

Fifty cash and carry customers are being given the chance to drive a Ferrari around a racetrack by entering a special Peroni prize draw.

The Peroni promotional team has been visiting cash and carries across the country, accompanied by a Ferrari to encourage customers to take part.

Mike Bradley, store manager at Makro in Charlton, one of the depots visited by the team said:"It really created a buzz around the store, it was something a little different. The staff and customers were really enthusiastic about the competition and it even helped increase Peroni sales which was great.”

Cash and carry staff who create the best Peroni display will win £1,000 with £500 for the runner up and the store with the best sales will win a luxury trip for two to Rome.

Both the cash and carry store incentive and the customer competition results will be announced in mid September.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
