Fancy yourself as a Master of Wine?

23 August, 2007

The Institute of Masters of Wine is inviting applications for the first year Master of Wine education programme in the 2007/08 academic year.

Applicants will need to submit a detailed application form outlining their professional qualifications and wine industry experience. In addition, they will need to prepare a short essay on a given topic, write up a tasting paper and secure the support of a wine industry referee.

Those not currently actively involved in the wine industry may be required to attend an interview. Applicants will be informed of the results in late October.

Application forms are available on the IMW's website at mastersofwine.org/ApplicationPackRequest.aspx, or from the executive office on 0207 621 2830.

The IMW was established in London in 1953, and more than 2,000 candidates have sat its wine exams since then. It has 257 members from 22 countries.
