Carlsberg plays draughts

21 September, 2007

Carlsberg has launched a second-generation version of its DraughtMaster in-home lager dispense system, a year after the launch of the original model.

The new version of the machine features a pre-cooling function and twin-speed fan which the brewer said would make for quicker keg cooling.

The DraughtMaster dispenses lager through a patented "one way keg system" which allows beer to stay fresh in the PET barrel for three weeks after the first pour.

The 5-litre kegs of Carlsberg Export are being sold in selected Tesco and Thresher stores at £13.99.

The units themselves have an rrp of £129.99 and are available from Comet, John Lewis, Next Directory, Littlewoods Directory and Argos.
