Carlsberg plays draughts

21 September, 2007

Carlsberg has launched a second-generation version of its DraughtMaster in-home lager dispense system, a year after the launch of the original model.

The new version of the machine features a pre-cooling function and twin-speed fan which the brewer said would make for quicker keg cooling.

The DraughtMaster dispenses lager through a patented "one way keg system" which allows beer to stay fresh in the PET barrel for three weeks after the first pour.

The 5-litre kegs of Carlsberg Export are being sold in selected Tesco and Thresher stores at 13.99.

The units themselves have an rrp of 129.99 and are available from Comet, John Lewis, Next Directory, Littlewoods Directory and Argos.
